If you are travelling solo, I would highly recommend Triumph. I was travelling to Tokyo to run the marathon when I became aware of Triumph. When you are running a marathon in any location, it makes such a difference when you don’t have to worry about all the details. For Tokyo especially, there is so much information required before you leave your country…immigration details, wifi info, payment info in city etc. then once in Tokyo, Tamara and Jeff took care of me. ..from going to expo, accompanying group to start line and making sure all of us got back to the hotel at the finish. I didn’t have to worry about where to go for breakfast, pre race dinner and tours and attractions were booked for our group if we wanted to participate. As runners, no matter how many marathons you have run, there is always anxiety days before the start…so having Triumph taking care of everything made a huge difference. And especially if you are travelling alone, whatever your destination, Triumph is the way to go. You won’t be disappointed.

My daughter, Rylee, and I traveled in March 2024 with Tamara and Jeff. I for the marathon; my daughter as a spectator. The organization and information was over the top. The Tokyo phone app that Tamara built was so helpful I found myself referring to it for everything, from shopping, food, to interesting places to visit. Both Tamara and Jeff are full of knowledge and energy, so if you’re planning on going, get yourself ready for an experience you won’t soon forget. Oh and by the way the extension trip is a must do…and you will not be disappointed. Tamara seems to know the backstreets and alleyways as if she grew up in Japan. I’m looking forward to my next trip with the group!

My wife Dorothy and I traveled with Tamara and Jeff to the Tokyo Marathon in late February and early March 2024. We had a fantastic experience! On the days prior to the race, Tamara, Jeff, and their local guides led group excursions to sites around Tokyo that were both fun and educational. On race day, Tamara helped the runners navigate to the start. Jeff shepherded the spectators around the race course. They held a group dinner after the race and a harbor cruise the following day. Tamara and Jeff’s attention to logistics and preparation of an enjoyable itinerary left Dorothy and me free to enjoy Tokyo and the race. We would travel with them again!

Jeff and Tamara turned my successful Tokyo Marathon into the most AMAZING trip to Japan. My wife appreciated that they made non-runners feel as welcome as those running the race. With their help we saw and did much more than we could ever have done on our own. Each full day exposed us to the history, culture and cuisine of Japan. Their attention to detail took the stress out of travel. They personally led our navigation with exact and timely transportation. Jeff and Tamara were a big part of making this a trip of a lifetime.

Nicole and I traveled with Tamara and Jeff to Tokyo for the Tokyo Marathon 2024 and then went with them to Kyoto, Nara and Osaka after the race to enjoy more of Japan.
The experience was top notch from the hotels to each tour outing. Tamara & Jeff’s professionalism, planning and most of all, understanding of what a concierge service means from a customer perspective stood out compared to other hosts I’ve traveled with.
Often times the details make or break the experience. Tamara & Jeff did a great job of making travel around Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara and Osaka easy by anticipating and taking care of the details and by having great depth of knowledge of each city and fun things to do there. Our experience was greatly enhanced by traveling with them and we would do it again!
