Jeff’s running journey began in 6th grade when he laced up his yellow and gray Sears running shoes for Saturday morning runs. After running high school cross country, Jeff ran half marathons as an Army Aviation officer stationed in Germany in the early 1990s before finally tackling the marathon distance at the Marine Corps Marathon in 2001. The camaraderie and spirit of the race left a lasting impact  on Jeff, fueling his completion of 23 marathons, including six Boston Marathons and the last of the six Abbott World Marathon Majors in Tokyo in 2023.

Applying the skills gained from a career in finance, manufacturing and service industries, Jeff spent over two years at Destination Marathons, orchestrating and leading international race trips to Berlin, London, and Tokyo. Fueled by his passion for simple solutions to complex problems, superior customer service, and international travel, Jeff co-founded Triumph Sports Travel with Tamara.  

Jeff resides in Charlotte, NC, with his wife Anne Marie, an accomplished runner with a Six Star medal and 23 marathons under her belt. They have one adult son and share their home with an Australian Shepherd and a Maine Coon cat. Committed to community service, Jeff serves as a Trustee on the Greater Carolinas Board of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, working towards a cure and supporting those living with MS.
